Dan Thayer, Attorney in Grand Island: Decades of Work Experience

Dan Thayer, attorney in Grand Island, Nebraska – has worked as a civil litigator for more than 25 years. His career began, with the Grand Island firm known as Lauritsen, Brownell, Brostrom, Stehlik, Thayer & Meyers – where he served as partner between 1990 and 2004. He established his own firm – Thayer & Thayer, PC, LLO – in 2004, and has served as the firm’s president ever since.  Prior to beginning his career, he clerked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Lincoln.

Dan Thayer, Attorney: Interests and Accomplishments

Dan Thayer has served the Grand Island community as a civil litigation attorney for more than 25 years. The President and Co-Founder of Thayer & Thayer, PC, LLO, Thayer has been a representative to numerous clients and colleagues throughout the local area – a litigator who maintained an unwavering commitment to a client-first approach throughout his career.

Dan Thayer – formerly an attorney for Lauritsen, Brownell, Brostrom, Stehlik, Thayer & Myers – has pursued a variety of personal interests/hobbies. Thayer has been an active member of the Republican Party for the past 28 years; has completed six full marathons and 30 half-marathons; has worked as a KRGI Color Commentator for local high school football games (1991-present); and is one of very few who has neared the summit of all 18,000ers in the Himalayas via helicopter.

In addition, Thayer now serves as President of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys.

Dan Thayer, Attorney: Former College Athlete

Dan Thayer is attorney and president of the Grand Island-based Thayer & Thayer, PC, LLO. He has served as leader of the Thayer and Thayer firm since 2004. Prior to his career in law, Thayer was a student-athlete at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he enjoyed the opportunity to play football between 1982 and 1986. As a member of the team, Thayer was honored to have lettered during the 1985-1986 season. Long after completing his college career, Thayer began racing in marathons – and has, to date, complete 30 half-marathons and six full marathons.

Dan Thayer, Attorney: Active Member of the Local Community

Dan Thayer has been an attorney and professional in the Grand Island, Nebraska, community during his career. He has also been an active member of many community organizations. Thayer served on the Hall County Leadership Board from 1993 to 1995, and served as the Board’s Chairman in both 1995 and 1996. He served on the Board of the Stuhr Museum Foundation from 1996 to 2006 – and has been a KRGI High School Football Color Commentator since 1991.

Dan Thayer, Attorney: Present Community Involvement

Dan Thayer, attorney, is active in the local community. The President of the Grand Island, Nebraska-based Thayer & Thayer, PC, LLO, Thayer has served as the Co-Chairman of the Peace Lutheran Church Capital Campaign since 2016. Dan is also a current chairman of Grand Island Senior High Athletic Hall of Fame, a board member of the Greater Grand Island Sports Council – and the current High School Football Color Commentator with KRGI, a role he has held since 1991. In the past, Thayer was a longtime board member of the Stuhr Museum Foundation.
