Dan Thayer, Attorney in Grand Island: Facts About Mt. Everest

To date, Dan Thayer attorney, Grand Island, Nebraska – has enjoyed the opportunity to visit, by helicopter, the summit of eight of the eight-thousand-meter peaks in the Himalayan Mountain Range. One of these peaks is Mt. Everest – the tallest peak in the Himalayas and the world.

A few interesting facts about Mt. Everest:
  • Everest is 8,848 meters high (29,035 feet).
  • It is considered to be more than 60 million years old.
  • The summit of Mt. Everest is located at the border of Nepal (to the south) and at the border of both China and Tibet (to the north).
  • Geologists estimate Everest to be growing at a rate of about a quarter of an inch every year.

Dan Thayer – a 28-year attorney of the Grand Island community – currently serves as President of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys (NATA). Thayer has been a member of the NATA Board since 1997.
